Red Sea
The northern tropical sea on the planet is over 2000 kilometres long, 200 kilometres wide and with the deepest point of 3 kilometres . It’s one of the saltiest seas on the Earth, because it receives only small amount of precipitation and is basically constantly evaporating. It’s waters are hiding more than 2000 kilometres of coral reefs and more than 1200 species of fish. The best for snorkelling and diving are national park Raz Mohammed or untouched nature in Marsa Alam. The biggest retreat is Hurghada where holiday resorts are stringed along the coast for 35km. Ancient Greeks called their northern waters Black sea and their southern Red sea. They chose the colours according to the soil in the area. Black mud in the Black sea and red rocks in the mountain desert. In reality Red sea possesses al shades of blue colours from gentle light blue to deep saturated turquoise. Red sea is full of mysteries. There are plenty of Sindbad’s submarines cruising at the bottom. In it’s depths 44 species of sharks are ruling the ecosystem. But the most famous event that happened here was when Moses had split these water into halves.
